These chickens were raised outside on pasture 24/7 like nature intended. They hunted and pecked and scratched for bugs, grass and natural forages. They truly expressed their natural behaviors as a chicken. All their feed came from a local family run mill in Mount Pleasant, NC that grinds only non-GMO grain from their farm. It is a great partnership and really reduces the food miles of this chicken.
